Little Explorers (Ages 2–4)

A playful, nurturing start to school life that builds early language, motor, social, and self-help skills through songs, stories, and hands-on exploration.

At-a-glance

Duration: 2.5–3 hours per session, 5 days/week

Class size: 12–16 children (with Lead + Assistant teacher)

Approach: Learning through play, routines, and rich language

Daily flow (sample)

Arrival & Free Play (15 min): blocks, puzzles, pretend play

Circle Time (15 min): hello song, names, weather, calendar, movement

Language & Sounds (20 min): rhymes, picture cards, phonemic play

Sensory/Discovery (20 min): water beads, rice tray, playdough, sand

Snack & Hygiene (15 min): handwashing, healthy bite, tidy-up routine

Gross Motor (20 min): outdoor play, obstacle paths, music & movement

Art & Fine Motor (20 min): finger painting, sticker lines, threading

Story & Goodbye (10 min): big-book read-aloud, reflection, pack-up

Communication: name recognition, simple instructions, new vocabulary, rhyme awareness

Early Math: counting 1–5, big/small, color & shape identification, sorting

Social–Emotional: sharing, turn-taking, waiting, using words for needs/feelings

Motor Skills: pincer grasp, hand–eye coordination, balance, hopping, ball skills

Self-help: tidy-up routines, snack etiquette, washing hands, toilet readiness

Signature activities (teacher-led)

Story Basket: objects from the story to touch/label → boosts vocabulary & focus

Playdough Lab: roll–press–cut patterns → strengthens fingers for early writing

Color Stations: pom-pom tongs, sticker trails → fine-motor + color sorting

Music & Movement: action songs, scarf dancing → rhythm, listening, gross motor

Mini-Science: sink/float, ice melt, magnifiers → curiosity & simple prediction
